•Your First Visit
Upon entering our clinic the receptionist will greet you and welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you please complete our patient information and history forms. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition and any injuries you may have sustained recently or in the past.
After you complete the necessary forms, you will have a consultation with one of our physicians to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options. Your first visit is designed for us to learn more about you, your condition and your expectations to determine if chiropractic care and/or physiotherapy will help you to meet your health and/or injury recovery goals.
After your consultation, our physicians perform a complete clinical examination to isolate the specific cause of your problem. They always take extra time to answer your questions and concerns with regard to your particular diagnosis and prognosis. After your examination and review of records, the physician will discuss recommendations with you. If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the doctor will recommend he co-manage your case with those providers.
We do not recommend routine full spine x-rays nor believe this is an appropriate practice on every new patient. Your specific condition may require x-rays to get a full evaluation of your condition or injury. X-rays help physicians evaluate more serious conditions or assist them in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Approximately 50% of new patients require x-ray evaluation, specifically if the patient has a history of recent trauma, cancer, neurological symptoms like numbness or weakness, or if the condition is chronic in nature.
Patients will generally be provided with their first treatment after their clinical examination and not necessarily on the same day. This may include spinal and extremity adjustments, physio-therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies. Treatment is interactive with you, so you can express any concerns you may have about the style of chiropractic adjustment you will be most comfortable with.
•Self Care Skills
Prior to discharge, patients will be instructed on a wellness program to be conducted at home. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches. If you desire an overall wellness lifestyle, our wellness team will work with you to create good habits and routines that support your success. Everyone is unique and individual, therefore everyone requires a unique and customized wellness plan. The foundation of our overall wellness lifestyle is maintaining healthy posture and good spinal alignment, eating a healthy diet, taking supplements, keeping your weight under control and relieving stress.
We are preferred insurance providers for most insurance plans and HMO’s. If we are not a provider for your insurance plan, we will do our best to be competitive as an out-of-network provider.
Cash plans are available. These plans provide significant savings (up to 30%) for those who prefer to pay cash at the time of service and who do not require our office staff to file insurance claims. A typical office visit for a self-pay patient averages $40-$65 per treatment. Multiple visit packages are available for purchase for chiropractic services with extra savings - buy 4 treatments & get 5th treatment free !!!
